INSTALLING THE SUMPS

The Rubber Roofing Co. sumps are designed primarily for use in plywood formed box gutters but can be used in other applications.

Plywood Gutters

Design & build the gutter minimuym width

IMR 100 & 120 300mm
IMR 130 400mm

Cut a retangular hole for the sump

IMR 100 & 120 440 x 250
IMR 130 440 x 340

Rebate the edge of the hole 4mm deep & 30mm wide on all sides

Drop in the sump and fasten with countersunk self tapping screws - minimum 4 screws.

CASTING INTO CONCRETE ROOFS

Either (a) cast a hole larger & frame down to meet it using timber framework.oR (b) cast the sump in-situ, fixing the 4 suitable fastners to the flange to lock the sump into the concrete when it is poured. Countersunk screws with bent shanks can be used for this.

Lap the roofing membrane 50mm into the sumnp over 2 layers as shown opposite.
